2025 Kiwanis Scholarship Overview, Criteria And Application
Kiwanis Dayton Township is a volunteer organization of men and women dedicated to improving the lives of children in the community and around the world.
Kiwanis Dayton Township is pleased to award two ($500) scholarships to local seniors. Our organization intends to reward graduating seniors who exemplify excellence in leadership, volunteering and community service.
The scholarship is available to Dayton High School seniors who plan to attend a 2-year junior college, 4-year University or accredited trade/vocational school.
Scholarship Criteria
Must be a student at participating school: Dayton High School
Grade Level: Senior
Academic Minimum: C Average
Application Requirements
Submit One Page Essay: Submit an essay describing your volunteering and service leadership experience(s) that made the most impact on you or your school/community. Describe the service provided and how it impacted the community. Why was it meaningful to you and how may you inspire others.
Letter of Recommendation: Obtain a letter from at least 2 individuals verifying your activities and community service. The references must be from current teachers, pastors, employers, or community leaders.
Application Submission Instructions
All materials should be submitted electronically by accessing www.kiwanisdaytontownship.org and clicking on the Scholarship tab, emailing a scanned form to [email protected] or by sending to Kiwanis Dayton Township, PO Box 75, Dayton NV 89403-0075
Deadline to submit Application and Materials is May 1, 2025
Funds will be disbursed directly to school upon enrollment confirmation.
Judging and Awarding Process: A panel of Kiwanis judges will evaluate the scholarship applications and recipients will be informed of the status of their application by May 15, 2025.
